Baptism

Water baptism is for believers, it’s a beautiful picture of what Jesus has done for us. As we are completely immersed in the water, we symbolize burial with our Lord; we are baptized into His death on the cross. When we are raised out of the water, we are symbolically resurrected—raised to new life in Christ (Romans 8:16). Water baptism by immersion is the biblical method of baptism because of its symbolic representation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Very simply, baptism is an outward testimony of the inward change in a believer’s life. Christian baptism is an act of obedience to the Lord after salvation; although baptism is closely associated with salvation, it is not a requirement to be saved.

Communion

Is an integral part of Christian worship. It causes us to remember our Lord’s death and resurrection. By partaking in communion, we’re identifying with Jesus’ death and resurrection. (1 Corinthians 10:16; 11:20 Luke 22:19-20).

Trinity

We believe there is one true God existing in three persons, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, 26; 3:22; 11:7; Isaiah 6:8, 48:16, 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). They are equal in Divinity and Glory.

 Bible

We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which the church operates and is the basis for which the church is governed. We believe that the Word of God supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21).

Sin and Salvation

We believe all people are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of God’s standard and breaking His commandments – therefore all are under God’s righteous judgment. Yet God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith, trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. At the cross Jesus Christ died in our place as our substitute, absorbing God’s wrath that should have come upon us. Jesus died for the sins of the world, therefore the invitation to believe is open to all, and whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins. (Romans 3:23, Acts 3:19, Acts 20:21, Ephesians 2:1-3, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2, John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, Revelation 22:17).
